If you are interested in defining the rules and challenges of a game, conceptualising player actions, designing levels and missions, crafting the personality of game characters and storylines, this is your course. 

Our brand-new BA (Hons) Games Design and Development degree is a comprehensive course in ENGLISH which is tailored to equip you with the essential skills and knowledge needed to thrive in the dynamic games design industry.

You will develop an understanding of how players interact with games systems and what motivates them, as well as using games engines to test your own ideas out. This will be done in the most adventurous way possible: there will be freedom to fail and learn from those mistakes that are made along the way, all in the name of experience.

This is a hands-on course. Instead of exams you will have projects. BIMM lecturers are game developers who are actively shaping the game industry. You will learn in a safe environment, in which we support each other and make each of us feel comfortable in our own skin. BIMM students also have plenty of extra curricular workshops, masterclasses with guests and tutorials. And the best: there is a lot of caring and support. The faculty makes sure you learn and you develop the skills and knowledge you should have to be a successful and happy game developer.
